Job Description: CNC Machine Engineer / Technician (DMG MORI & Siemens Experience)
Position Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Machine Engineer / Technician with hands-on experience operating, programming, and maintaining DMG MORI and Siemens-controlled CNC machines. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring optimal machine performance, producing high-quality components, and supporting continuous improvement in manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities
• Operate, program, and set up DMG MORI CNC machines with Siemens controls.
• Read, interpret, and follow complex engineering drawings, CAD/CAM outputs, and technical specifications.
• Perform precision machining, including milling and turning operations.
• Conduct routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of CNC machines to minimize downtime.
• Optimize machining parameters to improve cycle time, tool life, and product quality.
• Perform machine alignment, calibration, tool selection, and fixture setup.
• Identify machining issues, adjust offsets, and solve dimensional accuracy problems.
• Collaborate with the engineering and production teams to ensure efficient workflow.
• Maintain strict adherence to quality standards, safety procedures, and production deadlines.
• Prepare documentation, inspection reports, and maintenance logs as required.
Requirements
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in CNC machining.
• Strong background working specifically with DMG MORI machines.
• Proven experience with Siemens CNC control systems (operation + programming).
• Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, SolidCAM, or similar) is highly preferred.
• Excellent ability to read and understand technical drawings and tolerances (GD&T).
• Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of machining processes and cutting tools.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and programming issues.
• Strong attention to detail, quality, and safety.
• Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, CNC Technology, or related field.
Preferred Skills
• Experience in DMG MORI DMU, NHX, or NTX series machines.
• Knowledge of multi-axis (3-axis, 4-axis, 5-axis) machining.
• Familiarity with tool management systems and precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, CMM).
• Understanding of LEAN manufacturing and process optimization.
