Key Academic Project Final Year Project: Structural Analysis (Awarded: Excellent) Project included: Structural design of Villa consists of four storey. Structural design of 13 storey residential building with 2 basement. This was carried out through: •The creation of a client brief that includes: the challenge, requirements location, architecture CAD drawings, the ground conditions and basis of design. •Investigative design: An investigation on the modern methods of construction, requiring a literature review, methodology, results and discussion . Experience: •Structural engineering and analysis. •Preparation of concrete dimensions, sketches and reports with supporting calculations •Supplying drafting staff with information to assist in the production of detailed drawings. •Design of reinforced concrete structures for building projects including foundations, columns, beams, slabs, cores and shear walls. •Development of initial designs, using mathematics to calculate the stress that could arise at each point in the structure, and simulating and modeling possible situations, such as high winds and earth movements.
